Hope for despair.

There is nothing sweeter than the good old days, but who were they good for and why? Is your memory accurate, or is the present not good for just you? Maybe you are currently experiencing negative emotions, such as feeling trapped or lacking fulfilment. Or maybe those people shouldn’t look happy.

Hopefully, you have not been driven into a corner of unattainable nostalgia. It is healthy to want better, but not if only you benefit at the expense of others. A worst-case scenario is that you will never be satisfied, and you instill this mentality in everyone you can influence, who then pass it on for generations. But if that is the goal, why limit its possibilities?

Peak perpetual disparity can only be achieved when everyone has access to clean water, breathable air, safe food sources, adequate shelter, education, and healthcare. I am a barbarian, so my personal wish list includes the belief that all people are created equal and the protection of the environment. At a minimum, a healthy planet is crucial for the survival of its people and their insecurities. Fear not if these miracles come to pass, because despair is always there for those in need.
